Doctor Shankle’s vast experience and love for his patients has allowed Carolyn and I to live a normal life with Carolyn’s memory loss the past seventeen Years. Doctor Shankle is really Sharp. During a December 5 2024 meeting He kept asking questions. Finally he asked “ how does she sleep. I said “great “ . Driving home I recalled Carolyn had a very bad night sleep the night before. Dr Shankle knows all the answers and works with us until he gets the right answers from us. We are so fortunate to be able to go to Doctor Shankle. He keeps us on the right track .

This was my 4th visit with Dr Shankle’s office. I’m extremely happy with Dr Shankle, he is very thorough and has a lot of experience. His staff are also very attentive and kind.

I've worked with Dr. Shankle for about five years, as he was recommended by my general practitioner. My sweet mother died of Alzheimer's Disease (AD), so I was concerned, and found out that I had some of the genetic issues that could lead to AD. I'm getting the best care and Dr. Shankle's team is making sure I have all the right diagnostic information. He has a rare ability to explain very technical medical issues in plain language so I can make sense of it all. His team (eg: Sarah, Rita, Miriam, etc.) are helping me make life changes that give me the best chance at a long and fruitful life.

Dr Shankle as a world leader in AD and other cognitive disorders research he continues to be committed to the recovery of all of his patients with cognitive disorders AD and even on hospice rehabilitation care. My husband and I feel very fortunate and blessed to be in his care.

Dr. Shankle has so much knowledge regarding Dimentia and Alzheimer's that I have so much confidence in his analysis of my level and what is best for me. Best of all I can see with my regular check ups progress. If he feels a change is needed I'm more than happy to try it out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR Shankle to anyone that may have a family history of Alzheimer's or even if you have some concerns with challenges/changes in your memory recall. Don't wait, he is a busy man and it's best to call and book an appointment with him as soon as you have a concern regarding your recalling things. Don't WAIT!! Call right away.

Dr. Shankle is wonderful. He is very kind, helpful and understanding my problems with my memory. I'm getting better now and he's giving me more support to improve. I truly believe he's the best Dr. I have seen 2 other doctors before I met him, and they were not helpful.

Wonderful experience with Dr.Shankle and his staff. He is very kind, very easy to talk to and takes time to explain things in terms you can understand. He truly cares about you and his staff is very diligent in staying in contact to make sure you are doing good and check on any thing needed. Unusual in this day and age - very impressed with the entire team.

Dr. Shankle and his staff are amazing. Thorough, patient, caring, and helpful. They communicate with all my family and welcome all 4 of us on the appointment. Dr. Shankle uses graphics and shows us what is happening in my brain so we can all understand it. I feel so supported by him and his staff.

I’m a VERY particular patient and when I say that Dr Shankle is the most EXCELLENT physician I know, please believe me. I’ve been seeing him since 2011 and I HIGHLY recommend him. He’s the BEST!!!

 

     

Dark clouds and a Silver Lining outcome

It was an early morning in February 2019 when my wife received the news that she was diagnosed with Fast Stage Alzheimer’s disease. She told me that night, “if I don’t know who you are, or my family, I don’t want to live”. That moment in time was the most devastatingly painful experience in our 61 years of marriage. And, a miracle happened. A few months later, sitting in Dr. William Shankle’s office reviewing all the final lab, MRI and pathology results he told my wife and I “there is good news here, with the treatment protocol I will be implementing, your wife will have an excellent chance to live a long, happy, and productive life.” I jumped up and hugged and kissed him. In November 2019 my wife was re-tested and one of the test score components showed that she completed a task in 31 seconds compared to taking 91 seconds in February – a two thirds improvement!! God bless Dr. Shankle.
